Welcome to Waking Up

Hello friends! Welcome to my website. I’m Lauren and I am so excited to have you here. Waking Up is not only the name of my podcast and blog, but it is also my vision for not just myself, but collectively in the coming lifetime.

My show and blog are both ways for me to share my insights and spread wisdom, awareness, education and love onto any and all who decide to participate in the waking up journey. I’ve learned that waking up is not only a choice but also a non-linear process. The path to waking up does not, (in my experience), result in reaching a final destination. The goal is not necessarily enlightenment but rather, to live up to our fullest potential in this incarnation. To wake up is a daily decision of returning to love and light, our original, intended state.

Although I’ve always been a very expressive and creative person, I’ve historically struggled with speaking my truth in an honest, authentic way. This is the reason I started my podcast, as a way to reconnect back to and find my voice. I am hoping to do the same with this blog. To create a safe place for us to share our realizations as well as guide and support each other as we wake up to consciousness.

I do not intend for this to be perfect but instead to be raw, messy and imperfectly human. I’m tired of the masks, pretending, concealing and trying to be something other than what and who I am. I pray that in this, we can recognize, uplift, praise and acknowledge each other's humanity. In this blog, you will find a variety of topics all the way from mental health to spirituality, sexuality, relationships, travel, wellness and more. As a psychologist and poet, I never liked to confine myself into one single thing. I appreciate the freedom to choose and celebrate being wild and unapologetic, without limits.

My wish for this online space is to cultivate a curious, open-hearted community where we can liberate our most divine, whole, worthy selves. To ask questions, challenge the status quo and find magic while we try to navigate this thing called life.
